I guess that the only good thing about being a Swiss

footballer this week is that they are already at home..... Expectations had been high and I think that most viewers were disappointed with the results from the first two matches (both of which could have been wins). As hosts it would have been nice to make the knock-out stage, however with too little firepower up front, the team didn't have enough class to get the job done. There have been some exciting performances so far- the Dutch, Portuguese and the Spanish have all looked good and will be expecting to go on with the job.
Catherine and I caught up with the Cassidys on Wednesday evening- it was nice to see David again and terrific to meet Hilary. Hopefully it won't be so long before we get to do it all again.
We have had all manner of VIPs coming through Zürich in the last week or so with the Euro Football on- one of the most welcome visitors was Nad. It was wonderful to catch up with him and Wal- we had a fun evening and I bought a terrific watch which was delivered on the evening. Hope that you guys enjoyed the football, had a good flight home and I hope that your knee is feeling better Wal!
