Zürich is a good-looking town

and it is especially pleasant to walk around in the evening when there are not many people about. I was out tonight with my camera and really enjoyed the couple of hours.....

Sunday 29 April 2012

It was a relaxing weekend

with plenty of sleep, a surprise birthday party and time to take a few photos. Tomorrow is the last day of what was a pretty frustrating month- hopefully May will bring more joy.

Saturday 28 April 2012

I didn't expect my camera in the post today

so it would certainly have made a nice surprise. Alas, it was not to be. The sun is shining, I have already taken some photos and we are heading off to a surprise birthday bbq later this evening. All good!

Sundown not until 20.30

and a nice warm evening was too good to pass up. We went for a quick walk around the village and I took a few photos while Catherine checked out the gardens...

Tune of the Day: Are You Lonesome Tonight    by Bryan Ferry

Sunday 22 April 2012

Catherine called it "an adventure"

but it was just one of my normal walks about town with the camera. Yesterday's camera of choice was the F5 and I managed to shoot a roll and a half of Kodak TMAX 100. I'm quite happy with the results...

A funky little monkey on the dance floor.

For you keen students of Australian culture (and other Dave Warner fans) that can only mean one thing. I held this in my hands today and I would dearly love to become its next owner. Doing a feasibility study at the moment as developing the film won't be a problem, but scanning the negatives may turn out to be. We'll see.

Thursday 12 April 2012

A little warm-up dinner this evening

and a nice bottle of wine. I feel a bit sorry for Catherine having to go to a course, but she doesn't seem too bothered about it at all.....

Holiday is all about relaxing

and relax I did. There is a fair bit of "taking it easy" going on in my postcode at the moment. At least I have managed to take a few photos.....

I bought some more film today

and I am looking forward to trying it out soon. Having lots of fun taking photos these past few days and I hope to do more of the same for the rest of the week. The Nikon Cafe photo challenge is fun and the team are doing some wonderful work.

Sunday 8 April 2012

Hey! It's snowing.

I'm sure that it won't last long and it doesn't even seem cold, so I will put a pair of shorts on anyway. Looking forward to a very late lunch/early dinner with some friends later and luckily we hadn't planned on eating out on the balcony.

My easter rabbit is going to taste great later!

Sleeping in on a Friday

is always something special. A very relaxed day, an afternoon walk and then a nice dinner accompanied by a bottle of 1999 Moss Wood Cabernet is even more special....
