Tune of the Day: Whip It   by Devo

Saturday 23 February 2013

Today was cool, so no messing about with the Hasselblad.

I did snap a few digital photos in town and spent the vast majority of my day doing Not Very Much At All.

As Catherine tells me

it doesn't make much sense telling you that I have been out taking photos on my second roll of film if I am not going to share them. Thanks!
I enjoyed the walk with my Hasselblad- it wasn't as cool as it has been for the past few weeks which meant that it was much more comfortable to be out for a few hours and the city was surprisingly quiet last Saturday.

My second roll of film for 2013

went in the tank this evening and the negatives look pretty good. I should be able to get them scanned tomorrow. It was pleasant enough walking around in town- not as cold as the past couple of weeks and not too many people about.
Didn't manage to achieve too much more today...... fingers crossed that tomorrow will be more productive.

Sunday 10 February 2013

First roll of film for 2013

it does seem like a slow start and the few digital images which I have taken don't fill the gap. Hope to be more on a roll from now on. The city was damp and cool yesterday which makes for perfect conditions for Kodak Tri-X. This roll went in the developing tank this morning and after drying, the negatives were scanned this afternoon.
Catherine is busy cooking a beef ragu for dinner- it will be enjoyed with polenta or pasta as the mood takes us.
Get ready for the new week and the Year of the Snake.

Tune of the Day:  The Garden   by PJ Harvey

Sunday 3 February 2013

Continuing the two-wheeled theme

I took this photo in town yesterday as I was searching for something for a Groundhog Day photo challenge.

Dinner at Real was terrific- inclusive of a wonderful bottle of Pintia and it was cool to watch the snow falling through the restaurant windows.

I should get out and about today to finish off a roll of film in my F5. Fingers crossed.
