Summer is here and that is a good thing

especially when you can get about in shorts and take it easy. We are looking forward to our visitors arriving on Thursday and I hope that they are ready for some action  :-)  Running around after little Grisacres sounds like hard work, but maybe we can send them out to kick a football.

Continuing the theme

we had a little more oink from the bbq this evening. Marinated pork chops with some salad and a bottle of wine. Works for me  :-)

To keep the good Lord happy

we decided to sacrifice some pig for lunch today. A little raw ham with melon- a summer classic.

Lord Andreas Hobbsodopoulos

and I were discussing the state of the world this past week and we have decided that pigs are filthy animals and they should be killed and eaten one at a time  :-)  Sadly, my pig photo will have to wait for a day or two, but I am enjoying a Pimm's and Dry at this very moment in preparation for putting a chicken on the bbq for this evening's dinner.
Catherine has been out biking and I was shopping in town- I might even get to another bike event tomorrow.

After I get through tomorrow

I am having a week off. I have a lot of running around to do next week and things to sort out before the Goodsmackers arrive, but it will be a nice, relaxing break. Did anyone notice that it is meant to be 33° on Monday and Tuesday....... they say that summer normally comes on a Tuesday   :-)

Last evening, I was searching through some old blog posts

trying to find something and I realised that my older posts tended to be much longer. I'm not sure how/why that has happened but if it bothers anyone please let me know  :-)

Dan is well, Myrtha is on the road,

Patricia is single and The Chief is still the best. So much information from a quick visit to the city........  I really should get out more  :-)

The Rampensau has been crowned

and it was a very enjoyable event for all concerned. Thanks to the Park Massaker Crew for a great evening of alternative bike culture, bbq and music. Congratulations to Manü who can now officially be the "Rampensau" for the rest of the year   :-)

Rampensau has been postponed

which means that I will have Saturday to myself although I hope to get out and take some photos anyway. With unsettled weather on the way, it makes more sense to put off the bike day and hope for a sunny day on Whitsunday. In any case, Züritrails are having another trail-building weekend on the Uetliberg this weekend and that appeals to the same group.......
