Sometimes you feel really busy but don't seem to get much done

and I guess that I am at the end of one of those weekends. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing and I am certainly looking forward to a couple of weeks off. The photography show on Friday night was a lot of fun and I'm excited about my upcoming exhibition.

Disappointed to see Bayern beat Dortmund last night in the Final of the Champion's League.... but in the end, it is very hard to beat MONEY.

My colour negatives are pleasing

and after learning a little more about scanning since my last efforts, I am happy with the way they have turned out. Today was very relaxed and we are both off to the office tomorrow in spite of the holiday. One more week until our holidays.
If anyone has experience of photography in Budapest...... should I take a film camera or a digital camera with me?

Nice hat!

I enjoyed wearing my new straw hat today- the sun was shining, it was comfortably warm and the world appeared to be a more pleasant place immediately. I shot a roll of colour film in the city, dropped it off for processing and I'm looking forward to collecting the negatives tomorrow.
Catherine is going to a show tomorrow evening, but we are planning on seeing a photo exhibition beforehand and then maybe grabbing a quick bite before she heads off.

Zürich is a mess at the moment

with the Bahnhofstrasse having been torn up for new tram lines, paving and re-planting of trees. It must be some kind of nightmare for the retailers, but it is probably more interesting for photographers. I went for a walk yesterday and shot a roll of film with my Hasselblad- also managed to miss the rain!

Continuing our series of classic movies, Catherine and I watched The Magnificent Seven last night- great show.

Today has been pretty quiet- I developed and scanned my film and spent some time on skype and we squeezed in a walk this afternoon.

A messy week of holidays and it will be

nice to get out of the office tomorrow evening. I'm hoping to take my Hasselblad with me and shoot some film in the next few days- it would be nice to have another couple of images to go with the rest of my set for the Your Viewfinder show.

Not a great lot more to report- the Goodies are getting into gear for the move to Hong Kong. I guess that will only mean that the ducks speak a different Chinese dialect  :-)

Sunday 5 May 2013

It was a busy week, but not a lot of photography action

apart from a little work on my upcoming exhibition and a chat with the Gallerist.
The Germans have made it through to the Champion's League Final (deservedly, I must add) and now FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund will battle it out at Wembley on May 25th.
Went to a watch market this morning with Barge and Matt and followed that with a very enjoyable brunch at the Helvti- a great way to spend a Sunday morning.
Oh, yeah! I also bought one of these.
