It was a mild, sunny Sunday

and I took advantage of it by getting out to shoot some photos. Put a roll of Ilford FP4+ in my Hasselblad and I'm very satisfied with the results. Zürich was pretty quiet but that is never a problem.

Had a nice dinner at home on Friday evening. I hosted some photography friends and we had a great round-table discussion which went on for several hours (and would have gone for many more if the guests didn't need to get on the train).

My photo exhibition kicked off last night

so we did the appropriate thing and made a party out of the occasion. Thanks to everybody who came along and a huge thank you to the kind souls who purchased prints! I certainly hope that they bring you many years of happiness.

After arriving home late this morning, I haven't managed to achieve too much today, but the highlight of my activities was certainly a little snooze in a comfortable chair in a bookshop in the city. Wonderful! I won't need much rocking to get to sleep tonight, but I will probably wake at 3 tomorrow morning.....

I have been enjoying my week of photography

and like most things that one does, a little practice makes things easier, quicker and better. Looking forward to lunch with the lads today- if the last couple of adventures are anything to go by, this one should be full-contact.
Tomorrow we will just need to sort the duck and the beetroot....

Thanks guys!

Another great evening in the Mövenpick Wine Bar last night. That place is such a nick! Today has been pretty quiet- dodging the rain most of the day but there was some excitement in collecting a package of tomato relish and pickles from the Post Office this morning.

There are plenty of people who

simply ride bicycles for the pleasure of doing so. I saw a bunch of them this afternoon and judging from the looks of their rides, it would be a fun way to get about.

Things became a little scary up in Galibier-land today

and Andy Schleck did a fantastic job riding himself and his brother right into contention for this year's Tour de France title. Alp d'Huez tomorrow- anyone care to bet that it will be Frank Schleck's turn to rattle the field?
Cadel Evans is still very much in the hunt as well and if he can stick to his guns tomorrow, he can remain very happy about his chance Contre le Montre on Saturday. Bring it on!

Sadly, my new Denmark football jersey didn't arrive in the post today

which means that I won't be able to wear it out tomorrow evening  :-(  I can't possibly wear my new Japanese jersey to watch the match tomorrow night as someone might mistake me for a frog....... looks like I might have to go Italian white!

Only a couple of days to go

and then it will be World Cup time. I have my Japanese jersey ready and a Denmark shirt on the way in the post. Looking forward to a month of sport and a little Roy and HG to top things off.
Having a beer and a look at a match with young Mr Cassidy on Tuesday evening- had to squeeze it in before he heads off to South Africa on Wednesday.......

I really enjoyed the curry and a few drinks last night

thanks Pipo and Pete. I hope that you guys enjoy your Easter weekend.
It was very nice to see the sun this morning and not have to rush out the door and head to the office. I will try to go for a swim in a little while and generally take it easy- maybe even have a chance to take a few photos.

It was a busy weekend

and I caught up with lots of great people. Looking forward to getting into bed this evening- I need a sleep.

The bike marathon yesterday was a lot of fun

and luckily I had a reliable partner so that I only had to ride 3 hours instead of the whole 6! That was just right for me and although I am a little stiff today, I think that I might get into the gym later to do a few exercises and then do a little shopping in town as well. Zürich is super-conservative and normally closed on Sunday (as far as shopping goes) but in the last few years they have introduced a couple of shopping Sundays in December to pump up the volume.
Things are getting busy as the end of the year approaches- out for drinks and dinner with different people, we have dinner guests next weekend and the following week visitors from Australia for a few nights. It is always nice to catch up with people, but we will certainly be looking forward to a couple of relaxing long weekends over Christmas and New Year.
My one week long 50/fifty photo challenge kicks off tomorrow and while it will be fun, it is also difficult at this time of year as the days are so short. If the worst comes to the worst and I have to shoot indoors and with flash for most of the week, I guess that it would be no great disaster.
