After another beautiful weekend

I am sitting here watching birds chasing insects outside of the window and wondering when I should head off to bed. It has been sunny and warm but by no means hot and that is about perfect for me.
We were invited to a most enjoyable bbq this evening- terrific company and nice food. Can you ask for more?

Burger and beer with the Cook Club gang

is a pretty good way to spend Thursday evening. It was also nice to be in a pub in the middle of the city in which the average age was comfortably above twenty, the food was good and the beer cold. We may have to go back   :-)

So, we're off to Germany

to have dinner with some friends this evening. Visiting a nice small city and looking forward to walking about this afternoon and taking some photos before going to dinner in a great old restaurant.

Two days in a row now

I have been caught in thunderstorms........  normally this would really annoy me, but we are in such need of rain that it really doesn't bother me in the least. Today I was out in the city and took a few photos- there would have been more but I needed to duck out of the storm.

We drank one of these recently

and there was certainly a reward for our patience. The wine was most enjoyable and had really benefited from a few years cellaring.
It has been raining this afternoon and after such a long dry period, it is certainly a sight for sore eyes. A lot of pollen and dust are being removed from rooves, balconies and everywhere else that they normally collect- great news for the hayfever sufferers.

Dunno about you, but I ate too much for dinner

and now I feel like doing nothing other than going for a lie down and a snooze. Pretty exciting Saturday evening, huh?

Thanks Rich- spinning some new tunes

and looking forward to Bettina and Manu coming to grab our green sofa tomorrow evening. That will certainly give us some extra space in the sitting room and get me in the bbq mood. Another sunny weekend coming up- out on the bike again?

Platzhirsch 2011

was a most enjoyable afternoon of bike sport and bbq in Zürich. Certainly much more pleasant than throwing paving stones and dodging teargas on May 1st.
