Imagine going all the way to München to eat Vietnamese food with other Australians

well...... I did and it was most enjoyable. Thanks Jac and Tom for coming out and being great company- I hope that you both had a good time as well. Strangely enough, I also managed to squeeze in a couple of beers  :-)

Took some photos as well- it was very grey and foggy, so not the best conditions but I have some film to develop tomorrow in any case.

And I bought one of these.....

Nice hat!

I enjoyed wearing my new straw hat today- the sun was shining, it was comfortably warm and the world appeared to be a more pleasant place immediately. I shot a roll of colour film in the city, dropped it off for processing and I'm looking forward to collecting the negatives tomorrow.
Catherine is going to a show tomorrow evening, but we are planning on seeing a photo exhibition beforehand and then maybe grabbing a quick bite before she heads off.

Mercer Mercer. Mercer.

Yes, you heard me correctly! I have been lusting over this hat for quite a while and after trying to order one and getting horribly blanked by a NY hat store, I finally found a reliable seller and ordered again. Catherine collected it from the Post Office yesterday and I am really lovin' it.
Baselworld proper starts tomorrow- today was Press Day and even Zürich will be over-run with watch and jewellery people. Looking forward to catching up with one of the crowd on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Safe flight Stu!

It was a busy week

firstly, a buddy of mine was given the Spanish by a large Swiss bank starting with "U" on Monday, so naturally we went for a beer or three in the evening. Tuesday the two of us went to the ice hockey; ate fondue and watched the mighty ZSC whack Geneva.
Did a bit more running around before having a few beers on Friday evening with a mate from the office. Saturday saw the re-opening of the main swimming pool in the city (after almost 3 years of renovations) and I am hoping to swing by there tomorrow evening to test the water.
