Welcome back to Cook Club

It was a lot of fun to get back to work with the guys yesterday and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I think that even the ladies would agree that dinner was good!

Having lunch with Sanchez, Sanchez tomorrow to celebrate Paddy's Day and then will be doing some scanning with Giorgio afterwards. I will need to take a camera along tomorrow to shoot for a One Day Photo Challenge- should be good fun and I hope to find something green.

We had our own little bbq action last night

and it seems as if everyone enjoyed themselves. Food was good, wine was good, music was good and the conversation was lively. Could you ask for more?

Silver leather chaps and a matching codpiece

.... somehow I don't think so. They may have to hold the Street Parade without me. I guess that this will mean that I can make some noise this evening whilst barbecueing and drinking beer. That suits!

How much steak is too much steak?

Seriously, when you admittedly have no idea how much food you need, should you really be out there purchasing for the bbq? BTW- this was fantastic!

I need to go and pay a bill tomorrow

for my tickets to the Nick Cave show here in Zürich in October. Not very excited about that!
I noticed in the Zuritipp (a weekly magazine of entertainment and culture) today that the Monday evening market is on in the Rimini baths again this summer and there was a quick feature on some of the stallholders. Michelle seems to bake some of the great cupcakes of the modern era.
Getting ready for the weekend and it promises to be a busy one.

"This is bowling. There are rules!"

At least the lads from across the way enjoyed "The Big Lebowski" on Wednesday night..... they even managed to squeeze in a few White Russians to make the experience that much more authentic!
The sun has finally come out again here after a stormy, wet time and I plan on heading out later to take some photos. My project for the month is coming along and with only a few more days to go, I would really like to get a few quality shots to round things off.
Saw a photo earlier of a Moose trying to eat a bowling pin...... someone talk me through that one?!? :-)

Wow! Two days in a row......

I have been out on a bike and managed to drag "her indoors" along as well!! Hopefully it will be the start of a new exercise program and better things to come.
It was very pleasant on the weekend and we even rewarded ourselves with a little bbq action upon returning home at lunchtime today......

I'm going to call it a creative block

but for whatever reason it has been a couple of weeks since I have managed to post anything on my blog. In the meantime plenty has been happening...... I have been able to sort my head out somewhat, have been riding my bike regularly, went to Baselworld to see the people and look at watches (the people were more interesting!) and have even taken a few photos. Thanks to the friends who helped me to keep the ship upright- now that bbq season is here I might be able to repay a few debts with an invitation or two :-)
Going to summer time has made a big difference to things- it was nice to light the bbq and be outside at 7:30 this evening. It wasn't exactly sweltering but at least pleasant and still bright and sunny....... perfect for a glass of wine and taking it easy. Tonight will be early to bed and then I hope to get a bit of running around done in town tomorrow before hosting some of the neighbours for a bbq on Sunday. It shouldn't be too late or heavy as I am back to work on Monday........

It was a beautiful day, Bob

and I celebrated it by doing NVMAA (not very much at all). A quiet morning, nice lunch, a snooze in the afternoon followed by a great bbq and a bottle of red on the balcony.......... any complaints, please call the management!! London are having a Bank Holiday tomorrow and I am not going to the office- that certainly gives Sunday a different feeling.
After a miserable day of rain showers yesterday it was nice to see the sun again today- although it was not as warm as a couple of weeks ago, it was still most enjoyable to sit outdoors. The days here are getting much shorter and summer is slowly drawing to a close so taking advantage of our remaining warm days is a priority.
I hope to jump out of bed early in the morning and get to the gym with Catherine before she heads off to the office................. fingers crossed on that front! One way or another it will be a relaxing day and I hope to get a few things sorted out in the city.
The Olympics are over- bring on the scandal. I shudder to think how many of today's heroes will be disgraced in years to come with improvements in drug detection technology- call me a cynic- I consider myself to be a realist.
